ENHANCE: Environmental Humanities for a Concerned Europe
Environmental Humanities is a relatively new but rapidly expanding field that complements environmental science and public policy by focusing on the cultural, historical, and ethical dimensions of environmental issues.

The Environmental Humanities for a Concerned Europe Innovative Training Network (ENHANCE ITN) was a four-year multinational project led by four leading academic institutions: the Deutsches Museum, the Rachel Carson Center, KTH Stockholm and the University of Leeds. Twelve doctoral students was enrolled in the project and based at the different institutions. The project was made possible through a generous grant by the European Commission’s Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions.
